Deciding What To Eat is important while learning
how to stop binge eating!
The choice needs to match what the belly wants, and..... it may not want anything related to food!

To learn how to stop binge eating you must start with "Normalizing Food" so you can practice making "The Perfect Match" with your belly hunger.

You can't do this if foods are forbidden, bad or illegal in your mind.

In fact  until you do this part of changing your thinking you will be destined to binge on forbidden foods sooner or later.

The solution  to how to stop binge eating and ending that forever is in the pages and practices on this website and the resources offered.

Once you Normalize Foods you will be better able to easily make the Perfect Match with food for your belly hunger, this is one of the most important parts of being able to stop binge or overeating.

With formally forbidden foods we spent our lives craving them and trying to control eating them, so we can’t imagine how to stop binging eating these foods if they are around.

Historically we thought that eating requires control and that we have insatiable appetites that would never quit without controlling them.

The good new is this is not the Truth!

When foods are normalized in your thinking you are free at last in the world of food!  This is a very important missing peace in most programs that try to help people learn how to stop binge eating.

You are free to check in with our belly to discover what foods you are hungry for without being overrun by the  mind/mouth hunger for forbidden foods ....because there are NONE!

With time and frequent, diligent reminding and convincing yourself that you will never be deprived of those foods again, you will calm down the desire for so many of those foods that were "bad". You will know how to stop binge eating, forever!

This  is a critical part the work in changing how you respond to the thought of food or eating.

When considering how to stop binge eating ask yourself while touching your belly......
How did  that food feel in my belly after the last time I ate it?

Remind yourself to calm down around foods that usually are a trigger for you by saying......I will get to eat that food 100,000 times in my lifetime, there are no “forbidden” food anymore, calm down.

Now, does the thought of that food in my belly feel like a match for my belly hunger?

Touching the belly and sensing how foods might feel in the belly is important in learning how to stop binge eating.

Why does making the Perfect Match  matter in learning how to stop binge eating?

If you determine you are hungry in the belly start trying to make a perfect match by asking.....

What   FOOD TYPE  do I want right now?

  1. What texture would I like? Is it crunchy, chewy, soft, liquid, creamy or chunky?
  2. What taste would I prefer? Is it sweet, salty, bitter/pungent/tart, spicy or mild?
  3. What temperature do I want the food to be? Is it hot, warm, cool, or cold?
  4. Would it be hearty or light?
  5. Is it colored or white?

Imagine the food that comes to mind and try to see what it would feel like in your belly.  Is it the right match in every way? This is your inner wisdom that will never misguide you and it will show you how to start eating foods that are a perfect match and you will learn how stop binge eating.

Good questions to ask yourself:

  1. How do you define hunger? Touch your belly when asking…...Am I even hungry?
  2. How do you know you are hungry? What body signals do you receive? It could be the deceptive mouth/mind hunger, not  belly hunger. It could also be one of the "Other Hungers" if you realize you are not hungry in the belly. See the page on this sight called Other Hungers to read more about what they are.
  3. Ask 3 people  you know and trust how they know when they are hungry/when they need to eat. It is not based on the time of the day.

As soon as you recognize your body’s signal for hunger, ask yourself a question about what you would like to eat, such as:

1. What would feel good in my belly right now if I chewed it up and swallowed it? After it registers in my belly in about 20 minutes how will that feel in my belly?

You are not asking if your mouth wants it. The mouth will never guide you or teach you
how to stop binge eating.

Remember your mouth is connected to the ego and generally doesn't tell the truth, it would eat all day long, it doesn't care if it makes you sick and fat, or if it  isn't what your belly wanted.

2. What would really satisfy me right now in my belly? Ask yourself if you could be feeling one of the Other Hungers?

3. What am I in the mood to eat?  Imagine chewing the food, swallowing it and having it in the belly for a few minutes.  Does that feel like a match for what your belly wants?

Your stomach/belly knows that foods have different tastes, textures and consistencies from your past experiences eating them.

It recognizes the difference between, proteins, carbohydrates, fruits, vegetables, and junk food but it doesn’t make value judgments about each category.

It simply knows what it wants and how much is best for its’ highest good. When you satisfy your belly it will give you a signal that it is happy, satisfied or content.

This is what babies due instinctively, they never overeat, you can't make them do it, and you can't make them eat what isn't a perfect match, even if you try to disguise it. So the solution to learning  how to stop binge eating is to return to eating like a baby in a way.  They NEVER overeat!

Babies know how to stop eating when they are full instinctively,if you ate like a baby you would automatically know how to stop binge eating.
